Wildwood Days - Click here to play

On December 8, 2013, there will be a benefit concert for Erin Garvey, the 31 year old daughter of Dennis Garvey, who was recently diagnosed with Stage 4 Colon Cancer.
This benefit concert is to share her love of music, while helping to raise funds for her fight against cancer that will not be
covered by insurance.  If you know Erin, her father, or any of the Garvey family from the Brickyard, please, consider attending.
If you can't join us that day, please, keep us in your thoughts and prayers.
For information on tickets, please, contact Mike Garvey Sr. or Mike Garvey Jr. If you are on Facebook, visit the page Garvey Strong.

Welcome graphic

Philadelphia is called the City of Neighborhoods because of the rich history, family traditions, and great friendships that each little section of the city holds. Welcome to our little corner of the web to remember one of the best neighborhoods in this great City of Neighborhoods, the Germantown Brickyard!

Everyone enjoys the photo album.  So, please, share more.

Follow the link below to the new Message Board.  The guestbook has grown too large and we need a better place to be able to communicate.  The new forum should make it even easier to stay in touch.  Please, sign the guestbook if you are a new user, but use the forum for general conversations.  Thanks!!!!!!

Do you remember the Lang McCann Post, Nicolletti's, Scaela's Tomato Pie, the Germantown Boys Club and all of the fun that we had in the Brickyard?

If so, this is the place for you.  Join us, review the pages, post a memory, and enjoy thinking about the happy times that we all had all those years ago.

Keep posting in the Message Forum, too.  It's great hearing from everyone and sharing your memories.

Be sure to check out all of the sections!!!!

New photo albums open!!  Users can now upload photos to the albums.  Pictures, however, will not be posted to the site immediately.  They will be forwarded to the admin for review and final posting.  Thanks to everyone for submitting the pictures.

A little about me:  I'm Mike Garvey.  I'm the fourth of Charles and Alberta Garvey's fourteen children.  The family lived on Bringhurst and later moved to Manheim in Germantown.  Now a retired business agent from the Philadelphia Roofer's Union, I enjoy time with my large family, two young grandchildren, work around the house, various Irish-American organizations in Philly and my classic car.  I hope you enjoy the site and are interested in sharing your memories of the Brickyard.
